Thank you to all of you that have helped with this process! I would like to thank each and everyone of you that forwarded on an email, posted information on a blog, a website or a forum, spoke with a neighbor, casted a vote and volunteered in anyway to help get this issue out to the community. Without each and every one of you this community could not have come together and our voice would not have been heard! THANK YOU! The name and zip code change will go into effect as of July 1, 2009. There is however a 1 year transition for this process granted by the USPS. This means that mail will be delivered to both the old & new zip codes as well as Queen Creek or San Tan Valley until June 30, 2010. Any questions please let us know. ========================================= There comes a time in everyone's life when you want your voice to be heard. You want to be counted and you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Well that time has come.
*The Greater San Tan Area has grown exponentially with over 80,000 people now calling this area home. The single largest community in Pinal County is the San Tan Area, an unincorporated community. The San Tan Area and Maricopa were the fastest-growing Pinal County communities between 2000 and 2007.
With this growth however comes responsibility, hope and questions. Where is the San Tan Area? What does the San Tan Area need? How can we get the neighboring communities to hear us and acknowledge us? How can this area become more than a collection of houses and become a truly long-term, cohesive, family community? To do this, we need you! We need people who are strong and diverse who will help us to become a true community - one voice representing the entire area; a community that will proactively take part in what will and won't happen for the betterment of the community. Now is your chance to be heard. Together we can be proactive - Together we are one voice - Together we will be heard – Together we can build a community |
